By following these steps you can help us provide the required materials in a timely manner.
Step 1: Ensure that the student is registered with CILS
Step 2: Know the alternate format types student can access
Step 3: Ensure material request is complete
Step 4: Send CILS material request
Step 5: Follow up on request
Speeding up Requests
CILS can make a title available in an alternate format often in as little as 3 days or it may take as long as three months. Some requests for alternate formats take longer to fulfill than others.
You can help reduce the wait!
The key to speedy service is student and coordinator participation and responsiveness to impediments along the way.
This outline is meant to demonstrate the request and production process and what the requestor can do to make the process more efficient.
Step 1: Request made for alternate format
Step 2: If the text is available but not in the format and/or edition chosen
Step 3: If a text needs to be produced by CILS
