This tutorial will help you evaluate the suitability of Web resources for research papers in an academic setting. It may be assigned by one of your instructors as part of your coursework. If you are not doing this tutorial as a course requirement, you are welcome to do it as a guest.
Evaluating Web Resources includes several self-tests and two quizzes, and takes about 30 minutes to complete.
Web searching techniques are not covered in this tutorial; please see Finding Information on the World Wide Web.
Instructions for logging onto tutorial:

If you are doing this tutorial as part of a course requirement
- Go to myLangara.bc.ca and log in.
- Click the "myCourses" tab.
- Click "Library: Evaluating WWW Resources..." in the "Blackboard CE" channel .
- Please note that Richard Chong will be listed as the instructor of the tutorial.
If you are doing this tutorial as a guest
- Select a guest username and password. There are 10 libguest username and password combinations to choose from, numbered 1 to 10.
For example: - If you and someone else are logging on with the same user name at the same time, your quiz results may become mixed up.
- Go to https://pacman.langara.bc.ca/webct/logon/4039097001 and log in. You are now in the Library: Evaluating Web Resources: Guest course.
