Library Tutorials - Logging In

Please note that the tutorials work best when viewed on a PC using Internet Explorer - there are known problems with completing the quizzes and uploading assignments on a Mac, or when using a PC with other browsers.

Instructors:

  • If you would like your students to complete this tutorial as a course requirement, please contact Ophelia Ma (local 5527).
  • See FAQs for the Library: Introduction to Research tutorial.

If you are doing the tutorial as part of a course requirement:

  1. Go to myLangara.bc.ca and log in.
  2. Click the "myCourses" tab.
  3. Click the name of the library tutorial, either "Library: Introduction to Research", or "Library: Evaluating WWW Resources..." in the "Blackboard CE" channel .
  4. Please note that either Richard Chong or Louise Reid will be listed as the instructor of the tutorial.

Guest login for Library: Introduction to Research

  1. Select a guest username and password. There are 10 libintroguest username and password combinations to choose from, numbered 01 to 10.

    2. Username Password
    libintroguest01 libintroguest01
    libintroguest02

    libintroguest02
    ...up to libintroguest10 ...up to libintroguest10

  2. If you and someone else are logging on with the same username at the same time, your quiz results may become mixed up.

  3. Go to https://pacman.langara.bc.ca/webct/logonDisplay.dowebct and log in. Click on the link for "Library: Introduction to Research - Guest" in the Course List.


Note: Your quiz results will NOT be recorded and you will NOT receive any academic credit for completing this tutorial as a guest.

You will be able to see your quiz scores immediately after you finish each quiz.

Guest login for Evaluating Web Resources

  1. Select a guest username and password. There are 10 libguest username and password combinations to choose from, numbered 1 to 10.

    For example:

    ...up to libguest10 ...up to libguest10

  2. If you and someone else are logging on with the same user name at the same time, your quiz results may become mixed up.

  3. Go to https://pacman.langara.bc.ca/webct/logonDisplay.dowebct and log in. Click on the link for "Library: Evaluating Web Resources -Guest" in the Course List.
