Computers, Computer Labs and Printers

To use computers on campus, a COMPUTER LAB USER ID is required. All registered students are automatically given a User ID and default password.

Computers Available in the Library:

    Computer Lab L109:
    34 PC computers with Internet access, word processing, and spreadsheet applications; 1 station has support for students with disabilities, which can be raised or lowered.

    Computer Lab L108 (Teaching Lab):
    21 PC computers with Internet access, word processing, and spreadsheet applications; 1 station has support for students with disabilities, which can be raised or lowered. Open to students, except when booked for classes.

    Main Floor and Reserve Area of the Library:
    36 PC computers with Internet access, PCensus, library catalogue, and library databases.

Please note: Only drinks in containers with lids are permitted in computer labs or near any other computer equipment.



Printing:

In order to print, you must have a Copycard, which can be purchased at the Check-Out Desk for $1 (non-refundable). Any cash value can also be added to the Copycard at the Check-Out Desk. You can use the same Copycard to pay for photocopying or for printing in any college computer lab.

Printers are available in the following rooms in the Library Building:

  • Computer Lab L109:
    2 HP LaserJet printers, charging 10¢ per page.
    1 HP Color LaserJet printer, charging 50¢ per page (8 1/2" x 11")
  • Printer Room L112 (located outside library, across the hall from the library entrance):
    2 HP LaserJet printers, charging 10¢ per page

Computer labs L108 and L109 are maintained by Information and Computing Services (ICS) and are open during library hours.

 




Scanning:

One scanner is available in the library, in computer lab L109.
