Replacement Charges
If you lose a library item, or destroy it so that it is no longer useable, you will be charged a replacement fee based on the replacement cost of that item, plus a processing fee.
The replacement fee for DVDs and videos may be very high (hundreds of dollars) because in order to be played in classrooms at Langara, DVDs and videos must be purchased with public performance rights. That makes them more expensive than videos purchased for individual use at home.
